Admission Proces

In the course of a student’s tenure in the school or at the time of admission, should it come to light that a parent has concealed the fact that the child is suffering from physical or mental disability or communicable and contiguous disease or any serious ailment, then the school reserves the right to cancel the admission or to order the withdrawal of such a student.
Admission is made strictly on the performance of the candidate in the Evaluation Test and not on the basis of marks obtained elsewhere. Admission cannot be claimed as a matter of right even in the event of a child passing the entrance examination. Admission will be done as per the number of seats available and the comparative performance of each individual student. However the Principal/Director will be liberty to use their discretionary powers.
At the time of admission the following documents are required:

Admission form duly completed.
6 passport-size photographs of the child.
An undertaking signed by the parents.
Photocopy of the original mark sheet of last examination passed at the previous school.
One copy of the child’s birth certificate.
An affidavit from a 1st class magistrate or Notary conformations the date of birth as started by the parents. Date of birth cannot be changed once admitted.

Transfer certificate, (countersigned by the D.E.O. for out of state students) where required or specified.

Attendance

Pupils must be present in school before the assembly commences.

All Pupils must be present in school on the first and last day of each term. Parent’s co-operation is essential in this matter.
Irregular attendance may lead to dismissal of a pupil.
A student have at least a minimum 80% class days attendance per term/academic year, falling which the students may be detained in the same class.

The Curriculum

The school is conducted under the supervision of the Director. The principal is the Academic Head of the school. The medium of instruction is English; Hindi the National language is compulsory and taught daily in all the classes. The other subjects taught, besides English an Hindi and Mathematics Science or Environmental Science, Computer Studies, History, Geography, Civics, Sanskrit, Economics, etc.

Examination norms and Criteria for promotion

For Std. IV, V & VI: Passing in English, Hindi and Mathematics in each of the tests severally is compulsory. In order to pass a student is required to obtain 45% marks in all other subject.
For Std. VII & above: failure in any of the following subjects i.e. Eng., Hindi, Math’s, Science and social Studies in the final grade disqualifies a student from promotion.
Non-attendance in all of the tests i.e. Half yearly and final shall disqualify a student for promotion.
All questions of promotion or failure shall vest in the school authority and the decision of the principal shall be final and cannot be reconsidered.

Report Cards

The parents /Guardian must personally visit the school to receive the report cards and meet the teachers to discuss their ward’s progress. Parents who do not do so, will indicate their disinterest in their wards progress.

Leave/Absence and late coming

In all cases of absence the parents/Guardian is expected to make an entry in the pupils calendar on the appropriate page, marked “non-attendance and Leave Record” absent of their days or more on medical grounds is to be confirmed by a medical certificate and it should be submitted to the principal along leave application.

Payment of Fees

This includes tuition fees, bus fees, library fees, science fees, computer fees etc. All fees are to be deposited in advance. Fees will only be accepted on all working days of the school from 1st to 25th of the current month without any late fee. Fees once again will be accepted in the following month from the 1st to 25th, but since fees are being paid behind schedule late fine Rs. 20/- will have to be deposited along with the fees.

Transfer certificate

Transfer certificate will be issued from the office on payment of fee Rs. 200. An application for the same must be submitted to the office, giving a clear 7 days notice for issue of the T.C. for those students who are leaving this state it is necessary for parents and guardian to have the T.C. countersigned by the D.E.O. transfer certificates school leaving certificates, testimonial and report cards will not be issued until all dues have been paid.

School transport / Bus rules

The school has buses which operate on all possible routes of the town. Withdrawal from school transport in midterm is not normally permitted.

Discipline

All pupils are expected to conduct themselves in a disciplined manner at all time and in all places. Any student either willfully or through carelessness, is responsible for damage done to any property of the school, that student will have to pay the cost of replacement or repair. The school always looks forward to the co-operation of parents from day to day. Parent must ensure that his ward will not bring motor vehicle to school.
